Your wedding is exactly that; YOURS and here at Berkeley Castle you are free to celebrate this most important day as you wish.
Begin your drinks reception on our grand Gun Terrace in front of the striking Inner Bailey, and perhaps have a game of croquet on the lawns. On a winter’s day opt to sip cocktails in front of the roaring fire upstairs in the opulent Drawing Rooms.
Time to Feast
The Great Hall provides a very majestic medieval backdrop for your wedding breakfast, seating up to 130 guests.
Our catering partners, Napier Catering work with you to create your bespoke menu. Their food and level of service is impeccable and we have so many compliments from both our couples and guests on the catering here at the castle.
Dance The Night Away
What better way to end the day than with a party to surpass all parties! Dance the night away in the Great Hall to your favourite band or DJ, enjoy late night munchies in the Inner Courtyard from the food truck, and enjoy drinks from the Berkeley bar.
Celebrations finish at midnight, but if you would like to add an extra hour this can be arranged with our wedding manager.

Outside Wedding Receptions
Berkeley Castle is known for it’s beautiful grounds and of course you want to make the most of this during your wedding weekend.
There is the option to either dine and have your reception inside the castle or we can provide seating and marquees outdoors to provide the perfect outdoor reception for your big day. The food provided will also be by our providers Napier Catering, who will ensure that you get impeccable service and the right food for your day.
Summer wedding receptions
Summer is the perfect time to have your loved ones and guests outside to celebrate your wedding day. We want our guests to enjoy the grounds and space that is offered here at Berkeley Castle.
We can tailor your reception to exactly what you want, we’ll provide décor and we can also provide as much Pimms as is needed for your summer wedding at Berkeley Castle.
Winter wedding receptions
We host many winter weddings at Berkeley Castle, as for most couples the castle venue creates that magical feeling.
We decorate the Long Drawing Room and the Great Hall accordingly for guests to dine and celebrate into the evening.
During the winter we also offer roaring fires and twinkling lights, offering a very magical backdrop for the evening.
